  • No, the # C59496 trailer wiring harness for the 2008 LR2 by Land Rover will not affect the back-up sensors on your vehicle. No other parts are required to install a 4-Way trailer connection. This harness is in no way tied into the reverse circuit and only uses the vehicles brake, turn and tail light signals as a switch, the power for the trailer lighting comes from the vehicle battery. I do not recommend pulling the fuse for the back up sensors or disconnecting anything in the system because there may be a time when you forget to reconnect it and you might need it. Also, the sensors and alert should only go off when you are in reverse. While driving forward, the alarm should not go off.
